NOTICE OF RACE

1 ORGANISING AUTHORITY

The Organising Authority (OA) is PSTech Racing Yacht Club and Yacht Club Ada in conjunction with the Belgrade Sailing Association.

3 PROVISIONAL PROGRAMME

Friday 14th : Registration from 10:00am to 06:00pm

Free Practice, in groups, from 12:00pm to 04:00pm

Skippers Briefing 05:00 pm

Opening ceremony 06:00 pm

After Sailing: Social

Saturday, 15th : First warning signal is at 10:00am

After Sailing: Social

Sunday, 16th : Skippers briefing at 09:30am

Frist warning signal at 10:00am

Last possible warning signal at 03:00pm

4 SKIPPERS ELIGIBILTY

4.1 Only clubs invited by the OA will be eligible to enter this event.

4.2 All team members need to be members of their participating clubs or another sailing club.

4.3 Any of the registered crew may skipper the boat during the race.

4.4 There is no restriction on crew ISAF category.

4.5 To remain eligible a club shall confirm acceptance of the invitation in writing on the entry form and

send it by email to info@pstech-­racing.com by 25th September 2016.

4.6 A non-­refundable entry fee of 150, -­ € shall accompany the acceptance of the invitation for this to

be valid.

5 ENTRIES

5.1 Entering

The team shall be entered on completion of registration, the payment of all fees and deposits.

5.2 Entry Fee

A non-­refundable entry fee of 150, -­ € shall be paid by the 1st of October to the OA.

5.3 Damage deposit

An initial damage deposit of 250,-­€, shall be paid in cash at registration

Any remaining deposit after the event will be refunded in cash directly after the event.

 

6 INSURANCE

All competitors are required to have adequate third party insurance.

 

7 RULES

7.1 The event will be governed by the rules as defined in the RRS, including rules for umpired fleet

races.

7.2 The rules for the handling of boats will apply, and will also apply to any practice sailing. Class rules

will apply.

7.3 Any prescriptions of the national authority that will apply will be posted on the official notice board.

 

8 BOATS AND SAILS

8.1 The event will be sailed on the Seascape 18 boats provided by the O.A.

The OA may change the Type of boats.

8.2 The following sails will be provided for each boat: Mainsail, Jib, Gennaker.

8.3 Boats will be allocated by draw, before racing as decided by the Race Committee.

9 TEAM

9.1 Each team shall register at least 3 and not more than 5 members (including the skipper).

Any 3 of the registered members of the team may sail the boat on any race.

9.2 The crew on board the boat is 3. There will be no crew weight limit.

9.3 When a registered team member is unable to continue in the event the Race Committee may

authorize a substitute, a temporary substitute or other adjustment.

10 EVENT FORMAT

10.1 There will be 3 boats racing in each race.

10.2 There will be between 6 and 9 teams competing.

10.3 Target time for races will be 12 – 15 minutes.

10.4 A Pairing list will define the amount of races and groups of each flight. A final pairing list will be

defined in the sailing instruction.

10.5 The OA may change the format, terminate or eliminate any flight, when conditions or the remaining

time scheduled do not permit the completion of the intended format

 

11 COURSE

11.1 The course will be windward/leeward, finishing downwind.

11.2 The intended course area will be on the Savsko Jezero (Ada Ciganlija) lake. Alternate course area

will be on the river Sava or river Danube in Belgrade.

 

12 ADVERTISIN G

12.1 Each boat will be required to display advertising as supplied by the OA.

12.2 Boats shall not be permitted the right to protest for breaches of any rules regarding advertising

(amends RRS 60.1).

 

13 MEDIA , IMAGE S and SOUND

13.1 If required by the OA:

(a) Video cameras and equipment supplied by the OA shall be carried on board while racing.

13.2 Competitors shall not interfere with the normal working of the OA supplied media equipment.

13.3 The OA have the right to use any images and sound recorded during the event free of any charge.

 

14 COACH BOATS

Coach boats are not allowed.

 

15 DISCLAIMER

All those taking any part in the event do so at their own risk. The OA, its associates and

appointees accept no responsibility for any loss, damage, injury or inconvenience incurred,

howsoever caused.

 

16 INVITATIONS

Entries will only be accepted from invited clubs. If you wish to be invited please register your

request for an invitation as soon as possible with the OA.
